Position Overview
As an NI Specialist in the SF Program and Performance Management Team, you are an advocate and champion of the New Initiative (NI) standard and process – driving awareness, adoption and execution across Single Family. As a subject matter expert in governance and control, you will partner with initiative leads and key stakeholders to drive consistent execution of the new initiative process while operating in an effective and controlled manner. The ideal candidate is a highly accomplished and motivated project manager with risk management experience and a firm knowledge of the mortgage industry. The candidate must have excellent organizational, leadership, communication and relationship management skills.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Manage quality in the Single-Family NI process
• Continue to enhance the NI governance procedures to comply with the NI Standard
• Seek feedback from process participants that helps achieve NI objectives while optimizing the process
• Provide guidance and support to initiative leads and assessors in the identification and documentation of risks and controls
• Maintain diligent followup on NI tasks and monitor to ensure activities are diligently managed and timelines adhered to
• Perform quality reviews of NI deliverables to ensure that deliverables are clearly understandable and conclusions are supported with details and rationale.
• Ensure alignment of the underlying area risk assessments with the overall NI risk rating. Ensure area risk ratings are consistent with identified risks and that adequate support is provided for the ratings.
• Produce New Initiatives Reports
• Develop and execute training plan for project managers, assessors and other stakeholders of the NI process and execute training plan
• Build strong partnerships with key stakeholders across the division and enterprise
• Facilitate meetings with ERM and Stakeholders as necessary
• Interface with ERM in their role as oversight of the NI standard and be responsive to their requests for information, including input on NI Standard changes
• Facilitate and participate in audits from ERM, IA and FHFA
Qualifications
• College Degree or equivalent experience; advanced studies/degree preferred.
• Typically has 8-10 years related experience and 2+ years management experience.
