Job Description
Position Description
This role is critical to ensure efficient and timely handling of physical and remotely deposited checks as well as the monitoring of REG CC compliance. Prompt referral of suspicious or non-compliant activity to the Loss Prevention Unit and Management to ensure reduced risk and serves as a first line review of REG CC compliance.
Job Responsibilities
• Responsible for the daily SLA adherence for the processing of eCheck and physical check deposits
• Perform preliminary review of physical check deposits and eCheck deposits to ensure adherence to Ally Bank policies
• Accept, reject, and correct customer deposits
• Monitor REG CC compliance and documenting monitoring program documents for compliance and management review
• Identify, research, and resolve customer, peer, and management inquires in reference to eCheck, item processing, and REG CC
• Participate in partnership meetings and calls that include, but not limited to, vendors, operations business partners, product business partners, and process improvement partners
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of 3 years in retail banking or equivalent experience required
• Knowledge of Branch of Back Office Item Processing Operations
• Knowledge of Banking Regulations
• Ability to effectively organize, assemble, assign resources to meet goals
• Ability to identify process development needs
• Ability to work effectively in high pressure situations and in a high production, high quality environment
• Ability to achieve high production results while maintaining high morale
• Ability to exercise a wide range of decision making
• Ability to communicate verbally or in writing with credibility and confidence
• Exceptional time-management skills
• Head Teller/Check Cashing processes & requirements / CSR
• Strong Customer Contact & Customer Resolution skills
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Web based applications
• Strong analytical, organizational, verbal and written communication skills
• Proven ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure in a deadline paced multi-tasking environment
• Must be detailed oriented as well as a logical and proactive thinker
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Previous knowledge of check processing flow and Regulation CC
• Ability to clearly document monitoring outcomes

Business Unit/Enterprise Function
Deposit Operations services the Deposits organization of Ally Bank. The team consists of over 200 associates across two locations (Ft Washington, PA and Lewisville, TX). The primary focus of the team is to support customers and our contact center teammates with a variety of activities geared around account maintenance, money movement, loss mitigation, complaint handling and projects. The department is divided into 8 teams and each team has associates that provide subject matter expertise specific to their area. Adherence to high quality output is critical along with; timelines, productivity, regulatory adherence and ensuring our culture is forefront in all that we do every day.
