Job Summary:
Perform research of complex issues, make recommendations as to procedures or process improvements, and perform the most complex loan servicing functions. Direct the work flow in the unit. Grow and strengthen internal partnerships by championing the interests of business partners. Provide extraordinary customer service to external customers, exhibiting competence, consistency, and operational excellence. Function with a high degree of independence.
Major Responsibilities:
• Perform loan servicing functions associated with the most complex transactions.
• Perform research and make recommendations to Manager as to best practices, process improvements, new product requirements, and system enhancement ideas.
• Assist Manager in establishing service level standards for unit.
• Review and release wires up to designated wire limits.
• Direct the work flow in the unit, ensuring even distribution amongst team members.
• Answer questions from team members, and ensure that work is completed within departmental timelines.
• Provide input to Manager for employee performance appraisals and scheduling.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm, teamwork, and creativity.
• Encourage collaboration by sharing ideas and knowledge, and help to build an environment which encourages participation and open communication.
• Develop training scripts/ exercises for less experienced staff members.
• Conduct training of staff members as directed by Manager, helping to ensure consistency of method across the unit.
• Act as liaison with IRMG, OCC or other auditors/ examiners in providing background, explanations, supporting detail.
• Actively participate in all UAT, applying technical knowledge and expertise to ensure viability of enhancements.
Qualifications
Additional Information:
• Typically requires a high school diploma or G.E.D. and 7+ years of technical experience in loan operations and/ or documentation.
• Technical knowledge to include a thorough understanding of the commercial loan process, loan accounting, and complex commercial loan documentation, including real estate. Excellent PC skills, including Excel and Access.
• Well-developed communication skills and demonstrated customer service ability.
• Able to communicate effectively with all internal business partners and external customers.
• Thorough knowledge of bank policies, legal/ regulatory environment, and industry standards.
