Description
The Sr Manager, Global Innovation Delivery will be responsible for Solution Selection & Solution Implementation. This role is responsible for delivery of projects related to a variety of solutions including products, services and enabling infrastructure. The role will plan, organize, and the develop solutions to meet the specifications of the approved design, budget and timeline. This will include working with Country leaders, SMEs, Operational Leaders, Vendors and Procurement to deliver innovation design to market.
Primary Job Accountabilities/Responsibilities
• Delivery of portfolio of projects including directing activities, monitoring details, setting priorities and managing issues and risks. Escalation where appropriate.
• Indirect staff management for all resources assigned to projects
• Resource planning and sourcing from the business
• Collaboration, Coordination and management of IT involvement
• Ensuring appropriate communication to and involvement of stakeholders including appropriate levels of sign off. Preparation and facilitation of update / decision making meetings.
• Building of strong relationships across Assurant and key stakeholders
• Ensuring documentation and reporting standards are met and that appropriate scope management and change control is in place
• Development and management of Project plans and Status Reports as well as other deliverables for assigned portfolio and assists with deliverables for other Assurant initiatives
• Vendor and Technology solution research and alignment with Assurant processes and data
• Development of Business Proposals and Business case preparation to support assigned projects and to assist with other Assurant initiative
• Develops and cultivates a strong working relationship with other functional areas within the company. Understand their goals and objectives while balancing the priorities of all parties involved in order to meet the business objectives. Ensures there is good communication and coordination with other functional units.
• Develops, approves, and (when necessary) secures approval of policies designed to ensure the attainment of agreed upon goals in accordance with approved plans for area(s) of responsibility. Ensures the development of procedures necessary to implement policy. Provides the overall direction necessary to ensure the delivery of efficient and effective area services.
• Assists sales/marketing and Finance with preparation of cost analysis models, pricing, new client presentation materials, client presentations and demonstrations/tours of the outsourcing technology and center.
• Serves as liaison with other organizational components; establishes and maintains the working rapport necessary to develop cooperation and effectively integrate area services into the company’s overall business-related system.
• Maintains Innovation Output: the number of innovations that reach the market in a given period, the percentage of revenue derived from new products and services, and the margin gains that are attributable to innovation.
• Tracks and improves delivery efficiency: changes over time in the ratio of innovation outputs to inputs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications Required - Experience, Skills, and Knowledge
• 5 plus years of progressively more responsible experience in business leadership roles as well as expertise with clients and/or prospects.
• 5years in either a client management, product development or sales role.
Preferred Experience, Skills, and Knowledge
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field is preferred.
