Responsibilities
In this critical role as Director on the Corporate Actuarial team, you’ll have responsibility to lead our financial reporting efforts. You’ll have leadership responsibility for a small team of actuarial students and will manage the preparation of the actuarial portion of financial statements following GAAP, statutory or tax reporting principles. Your team will be responsible for calculating, analyzing and reporting on financial results and identify drivers of financial results and trends. You'll be invovled in communication of financial information to leadership and you'll collaborate across various departments to coordinate your teams efforts.
Qualifications
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree a plus
• Fellow of the Society of Actuaries {FSA} or equivalent non-US actuarial credential
• 6-10 years of post-fellowship experience
• 3+ years of financial reporting experience and knowledge of GAAP, satutory and tax reporting principles.
• Mid to Large company experience with an understanding of how an insurance actuarial community works
• Interest and ability to mentor and lead others successfully
Desired:
• Previous experience in one of our product line areas such as: group benefits, group life, individual annuities or retirement plans (DC) experience
• Experience of working in an International company, and exposure to non-US accounting practices
• Experience and interest in leading and developing others
