Provides strategic product direction to the rest of the organization. Manages the product/solutions life cycles of assigned products or services with the goal to optimize profit, meet client expectations, and corporate growth objectives. This includes business case development, market research, collaboration with product marketing on development of marketing strategies, advertising, promotion, and drives strategies associated with new and existing products(s). Manages new product and product enhancement planning activities for the product line(s). Assess market requirements and competitive intelligence; develops recommendations for technical product direction, and may establish pricing plans for strategies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serves as the key contact for strategic vision and new product ideas for assigned products/solutions.
• Provide direction and sets priority for product enhancements, including delivery of 1, 2, 3 year product road maps. Creates recommendations and feature definition based on research to address market opportunities.
• Develops and recommends product/solutions positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long term success.
• Gathers and aggregates business/market requirements to define why and what the product set should be doing
• Works with product marketing to develop effective communication activities and programs including advertising, events management, product positioning and collateral development for assigned product(s).
• Works with Development, Project management and other stakeholders on disciplined product launches for the entire product lifecycle
• Lead user conferences sessions on assigned product(s) and general industry topics.
• Administers company policies and procedures which affect assigned product(s).
• Works with the Group Leader and PMO to identify continuous improvement opportunities for Product Management processes.
• Assist other departments in the resolution of escalated customer problems when needed.
• Provides appropriate guidance to the sales organization regarding pre-sales and sales efforts
• Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
• Strong financial services industry strategic vision with a focus on the future.
• Ability to recognize potential problems and proactively take steps to mitigate them.
• Strong organizational and planning and skills with a history of successful execution.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills needed.
• Ability to work independently and maintain stable performance in an evolving work environment.
• Proven presentation skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously as required.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to react quickly to complex situations; work with employees, customers and outside organizations in a professional manner.
EXPERIENCE
• 3-5 years progressively responsible experience in Product Management or equivalent financial industry experience.
• 5+ years Financial Industry experience in related product vertical [to be specified depending on hiring need – Core, Channels, Payments]
• Proven track record of product management accomplishments and initiatives with demonstrated success in product lifecycle management end end-to-end execution of go to market strategies.
• Prior experience with the Agile (Scrum) development process a plus.
• Prior experience in working in a matrixed organization.
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related field.
• Pragmatic Marketing certification a plus (Level II or higher) a plus.
OTHER
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Ability to receive, express, or exchange detailed information through oral and written communication.
• Ability to see and operate a computer.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, bend, and lift and carry up to 25 lbs. of weight (laptop, projector, suitcase, etc.).
WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Work is performed in a general office environment.
• Occasional International travel may be required.
