The Planner/Scheduler is responsible for providing planning and scheduling support for all maintenance activities. This positon is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and manages all preventative maintenance schedules and asset data in the CMMS. This position will liaise with the maintenance teams and customers to ensure required resources are identified, planned, estimated, organized and scheduled prior to execution for efficient utilization of the maintenance resources. This position will need to work closely with other functions in the business to support business goals. In addition, this individual will have responsibility to ensure applicable business information/work order data is stored and maintained to support business decisions when needed.
Responsibilities
Reliability & CMMS Management
Lead efforts to improve overall maintenance program effectiveness through continuously improving preventive maintenance strategy
Robust understanding on how to fully utilize a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
Develops PM procedure checklists for equipment
Plans maintenance activities and determine PM frequencies on a daily, weekly and monthly basis utilizing CMMS and other tools.
Complies with all account CMMS standards and specifications to ensure database integrity and standardization
Develops CMMS training materials and conducts trainings
Work Order Management & Planning
Reviews and prioritizes requests, determines activities required for completion of work and sets completion date
Visits job sites for work order clarification, communicates with work order requesters as needed
Coordinates with client representatives to understand their needs and to ensure the work schedule takes account of the downtime windows negotiated with clients, where necessary
Estimates the labor resources required for completion of a WO, estimates and reviews work order bill of materials, non-stock material purchase requisitions and external resources required for completion of WO
Works with Facility Managers (FM) and assigns individuals or groups of individuals as required to complete the work.
Reporting & Miscellaneous Tasks
Tracks KPI metrics for work completed past due, labor hours, inspections and asset costs
Analyzes metrics from the CMMS to improve uptime and reduce costs and maintain quality data
Assists the Reliability Manager and FM team in various duties
Conducts monthly building audits
Complies with all safety, security and Company policies and procedures.
Creates and runs various work order metrics reports as needed
Qualifications
Experience as a journeyman engineer level with strong skills in building equipment systems
7-10 years experience in maintenance/operations of facilities or utilities with applicable skilled trade requirements.
Minimum 5 years experience implementing maintenance repair activities in a process and building services environment in the pharmaceutical industry.
Experience with planning and scheduling of maintenance activities.
Technical/Vocational high school diploma/equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering discipline is preferred.
Excellent interpersonal communications skills are required.
Able to interact with all levels of the organization and outside contractors, architects, and engineers.
Strong skills in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
Familiar with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
