Job Description
The Mortgage Sales Assistant will provide administrative and professional support to manager and staff within the loan origination office.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Provide administrative support consisting of gathering information for reports, typing letters, preparing training packages and mortgage loan submission packages.
• Photocopy, scan and fax necessary documentation to customers, branches, or vendors.
• Input data into Valley's Loan Origination System.
• Establish and maintain record keeping and filing system.
• Review documentation received from the branches or customers and update the LOS (Loan Origination System).
• Answer customer telephone calls and track and screen calls to ensure excellent customer service.
• Ensure completion of forms and documents.
• Open and close Loan Production Office when required.
Requirements
Required Skills:
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and the ability to learn the Integra LOS.
• Good customer service skills. Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail with basic math skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and ensure deadlines are met.
• Ability to use office machines, calculators, computers, photocopiers, scanners and fax machines.
• Ability to work on a team to ensure departmental goals are achieved.
Required Experience:
• High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of one year of related administrative experience.
• Experience in a residential mortgage environment preferred.
