Description
State Bank of the Lakes is seeking a Credit Analyst to manage the underwriting process to ensure all parties have a clear understanding of their respective responsibilities, and to ensure transactions are fully underwritten prior to submission for approval
Areas of Responsibility
• Assign tasks to credit analyst and RM; deals distributed depending on deal size, complexity, timeline, and capacity
• Develop timeline and identify the necessary level of credit approval
• Communicate with Lender/Division Head related to timing/tasks
• Maintenance of the Underwriting Pipeline and pipeline meetings on a weekly basis
• Identify key issues/mitigate and make sure underwriting supports
• Review/perform cash flow analysis
• Review/perform collateral analysis
• Identify true working capital need, and balance sheet sources/uses of cash
• Send Credit approval presentations/Memo to Division Head for input – Target the Friday before Credit Committee submission
• Review Credit approval presentations/Memo prior to submission to the Credit Committee
• Participate in Divisional Meetings
• Portfolio Management
• Manage the Portfolio review process
• Train Credit analysts/Junior Underwriters
• Performance reviews for all Credit Analysts/Junior Underwriters
Qualifications
• 3-5 years of experience of Commercial Underwriting
• Commercial and Industrial experience is required
• CRE Underwriting experience is required
• Bachelors degree or equivalent required
• Management of Credit Analysts is preferred
