TCF Inventory Finance is currently looking for a Business Analyst to join their corporate operation team in Schaumburg, IL
The Business Analyst under general direction will acts as an intermediary between business and IT project teams to collect, clarify, and translate business requirements into documentation and conceptual design (using appropriate tools and models) from which applications and solutions are developed.
Responsible for the overall coordination, consolidation and reconciliation of end to end requirements which requires building partnership with the business and IT to define and document the business goals for the purpose of IT projects and initiatives.
• Partner with users to carry out business process assessments utilizing a structured requirements process (gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing changes) to identify business needs and priorities.
• Support the coordination, consolidation and reconciliation of end to end requirements for assigned medium to moderately complex projects. Requires gaining a detailed understanding of the project requirements, deliverables, and timeline to measure success.
• Participate in planning discussions with technical, business and client stakeholders and also facilitate or may lead detailed business functional requirements gathering sessions. Act as primary liaison to the business throughout the project lifecycle and works collaboratively with business owners and other IT staff to identify and remediate process gaps.
• Work with business and technology partners to understand, analyze, translate, document and communicate the business’ vision into functional needs and requirements for system solutions.
• Identify and document current and future business state through process models and use case definitions. Discuss and negotiate approved business requirements and IT commitments and ensure business needs are met. Ensure adjustments are documented and approved.
• Ensure translation of business needs into required documentation creation of necessary documentation in accordance with SDLC methodology to support project needs
• In partnership with QA, coordinates business acceptance testing and business implementation validation, which may include assisting with writing test conditions, scripts, and/or scenarios and participation in testing.
• Participates in post-production discussions and is involved in all discussions involving functional gaps and required remediation and related approval documentation.

• Prepare and execute rollout or maintenance plans for supporting products (e.g. applications, reports, databases, tools) once they go live to the end-user.

Minimum qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical field or equivalent work experience
• 3-5 years of IT Business or System Analyst experience
• Demonstrated experience and competency in eliciting system requirements and producing requirement artifacts (functional specifications, use cases, business process flows, data flows, story boards, etc.)
• Demonstrated experience at mediating and negotiating with multiple IT and/or business groups
• Demonstrated experience in facilitating and leading discussions
• Sound knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)
Preferred Qualification:
• Advanced training in project management methodologies
• Financial Services industry experience
• Business Analysis (CBAP) certification
