Job Purpose:
Under the direction of the Customer Operations Manager/Leader, the Service Administration Generalist provides service to both internal and external customers, to include Underwriters, Underwriting Specialists, Sales Executives & Account Consultants in a variety of production, administration, and policy servicing support functions. Employee must have the ability to work with minimal supervision as an individual contributor within a team environment, demonstrate behaviors/goals that support our organizational Core Values, adapt/adjust to customer/client needs and expectations, provide policy, rating and underwriting support, demonstrate excellent customer service, and promote ideas to align with a business continuous improvement culture.
Job Responsibilities:
• Extend customer assistance to both internal and external customers through processing commercial policy servicing requests to include Rating, Renewals, and Endorsements.
• Address departmental workflow requests submitted via email and fax while assigning/distributing tasks to the appropriate individual based on nationwide territory assignments.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and our internal partners via written correspondence regarding Commercial Insurance inquiries.
• Daily periodic report creation attributed to the individual and team work volumes in adherence to departmental servicing objectives.
• Research requests from 3rd Party Vendors to provide direction and generate Change in Terms Notifications.
• Miscellaneous and other various tasks deemed necessary to meet customer/client requirements.
Job Requirements:
• Work Experience in Commercial Lines/Business Protection Insurance
• 2-4 years underwriting support experience to including rating, policy issuance, endorsements and thorough understanding of Commercial Property and Casualty Insurance Coverage
• Property & Casualty License preferred
• Demonstrate effective prioritization and organizational skills in an effort to meet departmental and organizational client deadlines/deliverables
• Promotes and maintains a positive, professional image Commercial Service Team
• Demonstrate behaviors that are parallel with our organizational Core Values and Corporate Objectives
• Maintains personal performance objectives to include quality, timeliness, and soft skills
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment as an individual contributor
• Proficient in Microsoft PC applications to include Word & Excel
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated critical thinking, technical, and analytical skills
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to solve mild to complex problems
Ideal candidates will possess the following:
• Insurance experience that includes knowledge of P&C coverage
• Commercial Lines insurance experience
• Underwriting support experience to including rating, policy issuance, endorsements
• Thorough understanding of Commercial Property and Casualty Insurance Coverage
• Property & Casualty License preferred
• Strong customer service skills
• Quality written and verbal communication skills
