MetLife is looking to hire a Mortgage Credit Analyst, who will be responsible for assisting in residential mortgage loan trading and analysis. This group manages over $20B in residential mortgage credit across both RMBS and loan portfolios. This position is part of a larger team that manages and trades MetLife’s $75B Structured Finance and Residential Credit portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in tracking and reporting the performance of the residential whole loan portfolio.
• Run monthly analytics and models to assess current and future portfolio risks.
• Become an expert on our internal credit and cash flow models. Identify and drive improvements to modeling processes.
• Provide analytical support to residential mortgage loan trading and reporting team.
• Run and analyze potential new investments for the portfolio. Identify and suggest new ways to analyze investment opportunities.
• Work on month end reporting including performance trends, potential sales candidates and aggregation of industry data.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be able to manage information flows effectively.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
• Must be able to simultaneously handle multiple tasks.
Preferred:
• BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Math or any other related field of expertise.
• Experience using SQL or other programming software.
