JOB DESCRIPTION
Intercontinental Exchange is seeking a Production Designer to join its dynamic, visionary, Creative Services and Marketing team. This talented individual is a seasoned professional that takes pride in his/her work and is highly detail oriented. The right candidate will be able to give production recommendations, set-up final art for print and digital files, possess great attention to detail, and be able to successfully meet deadlines with little direction. The Production Designer will have the ability to articulate best practices for file set-up and work with internal clients, designers and other stake holders to develop high-quality final creative outputs that are error free and at the highest possible standard. Candidate needs to thrive in a highly pressured, fast paced environment - bringing a combination of creativity and speed to their work.
Intercontinental Exchange adopts a digital-first mindset, as such we are looking for a candidate that is well versed in the capabilities and limitations of digital channels as well as print. This position reports to the Design Manager, Creative Services.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Support the creative team on a wide range of projects
• Visually creative - being able to translate various company brands into impactful presentations
• Participate in internal kick-offs, brainstorming sessions and reviews
• Be able to manage variety of stakeholders at one time - prioritizing and producing work on time and in collaborative manner
• Be comfortable in a high-volume, fast paced creative production environment
• Ensure a consistent brand experience across all deliverables, such as social graphics, presentations, tradeshow creative, web graphics, advertising, etc.
• Juggle multiple projects while working with a range of internal clients and being able to consistently deliver high-quality output
• Well-versed in Adobe design software and Microsoft Office applications, able to make design edits and develop designs utilizing existing standards and templates
• Edit and create presentations with ease in Microsoft PowerPoint
• Ability to edit and retouch photography using Adobe Photoshop, strong knowledge of color correction and resolution requirements for various outputs
• Manage the production process from start to finish
• Approach work with an open and creative mindset; always looking improve and evolve
• Demonstrate a clear understanding of the Intercontinental Exchange brand and maintain its integrity through creative development

• Stay abreast of trends in design and technology to ensure creative output are relevant and reflective of a global organization
• Consistently raise the creative bar and create solutions that lift and evolve the Intercontinental Exchange brand
Knowledge and Experience
Basic Qualifications:
• Associates Degree required, Bachelors’ Degree preferred (Fine Arts, Advertising or other related field)
• Minimum of 5-8 years proven experience in a Designer role
• Experience in financial services industry a plus
• Experience working in a corporate environment a plus
• Work in our office located at the NYSE, in New York, NY
• Ability to travel if needed, and stay operative if traveling for business
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• 5+ years’ experience in design applied to digital and print media in support of integrated marketing communications programs
• Track record as a production designer – speaking to and producing final creative outputs for digital media as well as print
• Strong knowledge of presentation design using Microsoft PowerPoint
• Strong knowledge of photo retouching using Adobe Photoshop
• Collaborative approach/mindset
• Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbally) with designers, peers, and internal and external clients
• Attention to detail and a focus on quality is a must
• Extensive experience and proficiency with current graphic design software and tools, practices and procedures including Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat), Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word, Keynote and others
• Understanding of, and ability to design for, current social media platforms
• Extensive knowledge of production processes for print, environmental and digital media
• Expert knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, possibilities and limitations of media
• Organizational skills: Ability to prioritize assignments, and work successfully in a deadline driven environment
• Work skills/ general skills: Indicate what skills specific to the job are required, e.g. language fluency and more general characteristics, e.g., communication skills, attention to detail
• Qualifications/education: Indicate any professional qualifications and/ or the level of education that is required
