Position Summary:
The General Adjuster will be responsible for inspecting, investigating large loss, complex; personal lines claims in excess of $100,000. Work independently and remotely from your home! Our company also provides a company car, laptop computer, and other required equipment to ensure your success!
Position Responsibilities:
• Review coverage’s, inspects damages, determines cause and origin, investigates all questionable circumstances, and considers subrogation possibilities.
• Determines values on building losses, promptly and efficiently prepares comprehensive damage and repair estimates, determines accurate scopes of damage, settles claims on the basis of the determined scope and estimate.
• Provides exemplary customer service; providing comprehensive explanations of all facets of coverage and claim process to the insured.
• Be able to respond to claims in person within 48 hours of receipt by the company; traveling nationally as necessary.
• Be available for Catastrophe Duty as required.
Position Qualifications:
• 5+ years claim experience with specific background in investigating and adjusting property lines losses, handling losses in excess of $100,000 required.
• College degree or equivalent work experience is required.
• Ability to travel by vehicle and air is required.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more is required.
• Xactimate estimating software experience is required.
• High degree of claim documentation and quality adjusting skills is required.
• Must have strong insurance policy and coverage knowledge, ability to handle complex property claims.
• Must have valid driving license in state of domicile.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills, customer services skills, communication skills, and strong writing and verbal skills required.
• Strong investigative, analytical, problem solving, planning and organization and time management skills required.
• Strong presentation skills required.
• Must possess or attain state adjusting licenses as required with 90 days of hire.
