As a Manager you will be part of IAG’s Transformation and Automation team. As a member of the Transformation and Automation team you will have an exciting opportunity to not only learn about AIG’s products and services and enhance your knowledge and skillsets as you work with the audit team across multiple businesses and functions but lead transformation efforts for the audit process and support creating innovative audit strategies including use of automation and other emerging technologies.

You will gain a unique view of AIG, as part of planning and executing on all aspects of the audit process and risk assessment activities and will build close working relationships with business and functional leaders, colleagues across other assurance functions, and fellow team members.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
• Provide data analytics to support the entire audit cycle, including planning, testing of controls, reporting and issue verification
• Collaborate with global IAG teams on audit projects to identify and deliver full population testing to improve assurance and achieve IAG objective of continuous monitoring
• Use data and data visualization to enhance the connection between the business and audit
• Educate audit team members on available self-service tools and work to improve the overall audit experience
• Liaison with senior IAG and business stakeholders , including presenting learnings and managing expectations
• Suggest advanced analytics methodology specific to particular project needs and steer analytics requests in the most productive direction
Qualifications
• 5+ years professional experience in Operational Excellence, Lean Six Sigma or Process Reengineering with exposure to Digital Process Automation
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree, preferably in Operations Research, Systems Engineering, Finance, Economics, Computer Science or Business Management, and/or other related discipline
• Demonstrated experience collaborating with the IT organization and business partners on a project or program (e.g. Finance, General Insurance, Life and Retirement etc.)
• Experience with Excel use and process automation technologies a plus (e.g. Appian, Onit, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, UiPath etc.)
• Experience in managing projects, timelines and deliverables with stakeholder groups in an agile manner; certified project management background a plus
• Technical background and demonstrated continual development of skills in new technologies
• Possesses keen attention to detail and able to manage time efficiently
• Solid foundational knowledge of auditing and/or insurance business processes, including the relevance of key applicable laws and regulations, a plus
• Proactive approach to learning the insurance industry and related functions and products
• Ability to identify and evaluate key risks and controls across different business processes
• Strong interpersonal skills to establish effective working relationships with and provide constructive feedback to stakeholders, colleagues and staff auditors
• Effective time management skills; coordinate and prioritize competing initiatives while meeting deadlines
• Exhibit professional skepticism and curiosity
• Team player mentality; holds self-accountable for the success of the team
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• Experience working in the financial services/insurance industries a plus
