JOB DESCRIPTION
The primary responsibility of this position will be to generate daily evaluations for Agency and/or Non Agency Residential Mortgage Backed Securities (RMBS). The candidate will work in a team environment collecting market data, modeling bond cashflows and interacting with Interactive Data’s fixed income client base.
The Fixed Income Analyst must possess 3+ years experience in CMOs, ABS or CMBS and a general understanding of fixed income markets. The ideal candidate would have strong background in analyzing the structure and collateral with an understanding of how RMBS securities trade in the market.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Deriving daily RMBS evaluations.
• Monitoring news and market conditions.
• Obtain market information from existing and acquired contacts.
• Build a close and trusting professional relationship with market participants, clients, and customer service.
• Maintain a well-organized and clearly documented overview of the evaluation process in accordance with the policies and procedures utilized within the Mortgage Related Securities Group.
Knowledge and Experience
• 3+ years Agency and/or Non Agency CMOs, ABS or CMBS experience.
• Knowledge of Fixed Income Markets.
• Ability to facilitate market participant relationships.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under stringent time constraints, multi-task and prioritize workload.
• Independent self-starter, able to sustain productivity.
• Team player with the willingness to take direction from management.
• Willingness to work the hours necessary to achieve daily objectives.
• Experienced with Microsoft Excel.
