Description
The Vendor Compliance Testing Analyst is principally responsible for assessing vendor compliance against relevant high risk consumer regulations.
Primary responsibilities include:
• Assess vendor adherence to regulatory requirements, including communicating effectively to internal and external stakeholders with varying degrees of seniority.
• Facilitate discussions with department senior management, business line partners, compliance and vendors to determine the scope of the review, appropriate artifacts/evidence, coordinate schedules and communicate any findings or potential concerns.
• Evaluate the adequacy of third party vendor’s compliance management systems and, where appropriate, conduct outcomes testing sufficient to develop an opinion regarding the effectiveness of third party vendor controls and/or processes.
• Prepare/maintain appropriate review documentation in accordance with departmental procedures.
• Work within established deadlines to deliver quality regulatory reviews according to a predetermined schedule.
• Support departmental initiatives, issue management and exam management activities.
Qualifications
Experience and Skills:
• Experience in a Financial Services organization, particularly within Consumer Banking
• Mortgage lending experience strongly preferred
• Experience in Internal Audit, Compliance or Risk Management
• Intermediate knowledge of internal controls and risk assessment processes
• Experience delivering under tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards
• Excellent business writing skills
• Ability to effectively communicate with various levels of management
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Proficient use of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of Consumer Banking products and operations, key processes, controls and regulatory requirements
• Ability and willingness to travel (10 - 15% travel may be required)
Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials:
• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
• Professional Certifications (i.e. CRCM )
Hours & Work Schedule
Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm
