Summary
The Relationship Manager ("RM") will be responsible for driving business development and consistently growing the portfolio of clients through excellent prospecting and sales management techniques while continuing to service the needs of existing customers at the highest level. This position will be responsible for providing support to all Corporate Banking clients but focusing on the upper end of the market between $250MM and $2B.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
• Cross sell full range of bank products and services to existing customers including Cash Management, Derivative and Investment products and additional partner services such as Merchant Services
• Participate in joint calls with business partners to develop customer relationships and support specific product sales across business lines
• Manage portfolio of existing clients by continuing to expand relationships
• Partner with Credit Risk to ensure all necessary documents are delivered to allow for a complete credit assessment
• Monitor credit quality within assigned portfolios and take action as appropriate
• Act as a mentor to less experienced Relationship Managers
• Participate in special projects
• Work with internal and external auditors and corporate compliance to ensure conformity with bank policies and procedures and Federal & State regulations
• Represent the bank in civic and community functions to further enhance its image and develop expanded business
• Identify and structure commercial credit transactions to ensure maximum profitability with reasonable risk
• Serve existing customers by consistently identifying customer needs and delivering products and services to meet their needs
• Drive business development by acquiring highly profitable customers with annual turnover between $20MM and $2B focusing on the upper end of the market from $250MM to $2B

Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field or equivalent work experience
• 12+ years of commercial /corporate banking experience
• Demonstrated experience actively managing large client exposures of greater than $20MM
• Demonstrated experience prospecting, developing and managing clients with annual revenues in excess of $200MM
• Experience selling cash management and treasury products
• Formal credit training preferred
• Ability to travel extensively in local market; expected to be away from desk 3 to 4 days/week
• Ability to work independently
• Superior sales, presentation, interpersonal, negotiation and written and verbal communication skills
• Leadership skills and ability to mentor and develop a team
• Superior knowledge of Corporate Banking products and services (both credit and non-credit products)
