Manager of Inside Sales - Consumer Business Banking

First Horizon National Corporation, operating as First Tennessee Bank and Capital Bank, one of the largest regional banks in the Southeast with $40B in assets and nearly 300 branch offices, is currently seeking a Director of Inside Sales for Business Banking in the Consumer Banking Division. This position will build, manage and maintain program strategy that continuously solidifies the bank’s commitment to provide a world class customer experience for business clients and grows deposits in the Division.
This position will be responsible for P&L management for this revenue-producing business, and will act as the sales manager for the team. The role requires significant cross-functional interaction with sales and corporate teams, a strong understanding of products, implementation and onboarding, and a strategic mindset for recruiting top talent and building contact management programs. The position requires a highly competent, entrepreneurial and internally driven individual to plant and grow a team of versatile bankers who support both branch sales efforts and direct sales through digital and contact center channels.
Also required is a strong understanding of telephony, data analytics, lead generation, CRM utilization, sales conversion metrics, and combining all of these to effectively manage a sales team. Risk management and process automation competencies, along with process-based thought leadership, is also important, as the leader will influence transformative strategic initiatives to make all aspects of product distribution faster and easier.
Setting business and production goals and executing in the sales and onboarding of deposit and treasury management services, including business development, expansion of existing relationships, client education and utilization of services.
Recruiting and leading a metrics-based sales team of Deposit Specialists in Cash Management and Treasury Management sales and assist in the design of competitive production-based pay plans for this team.
Building improved delivery processes as the liaison to the corporate treasury management group.
Developing digital and contact center marketing strategy, setting sales objectives, and reporting results to key partners.
Ensuring that team members are well trained and coached on expected sales process and service delivery, and delivering employee performance evaluations.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in finance, business or a related field and 8+ years of sales management, treasury management, or operational leadership in banking products and services, or other directly related experience.
An in-depth knowledge of inside sales process and techniques, as well as an initial working knowledge of treasury management services and cash management products, with a strong aptitude to develop in-depth expertise.
Strong analysis, communication, customer service and organizational skills and the ability to motivate and manage salespeople.
