Prosperity Bank is seeking to fill the position of Mortgage Specialist Team Lead in the Houston/River Oaks branch.
As the Mortgage Specialist Team Lead, responsibilities include training and coaching a group of mortgage specialists, serving as first point of contact for all questions related to loan production and leading the team to high performance standards. You are also responsible for the overall loan application quality and pipeline management for your team. The Mortgage Specialist Team Lead is in charge of all activities of the MS including liaison to the banking centers and other bank departments that support consumer mortgage lending. Personal loan production is part of the job duties of the Team Lead position. Duties include receiving, reviewing, and evaluating consumer mortgage loan requests following a Fair Lending process. Discusses mortgage related facts with applicants concerning the ability to repay; explains bank credit policies; and to obtain financial documentation to underwrite the loan request. The Mortgage Specialist Team Lead will also perform other duties as assigned. A full job description available upon hiring.

Required Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent, advance degree is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: Knowledge of Bank consumer mortgage lending policies, and procedures. Understanding of financial analysis and determination of credit worthiness. NMLS certified.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:3 to 5 years of consumer mortgage lending experience, including experience in supervising multiple team members
