Job Description
Visa is the leading provider of Debit products and services globally with almost $2 Trillion in Debit payment volume in 2017. Visa’s Global Debit team, as part of our Core Products Group, is responsible for driving growth and evolution of Visa’s Debit offerings in partnership with regional, country, and other functional Visa staff. Key activities of the Global Debit team are to:
• Oversee Visa’s Debit products and roadmap, including the evolution of existing products
• Provide expertise, insights, and recommendations on issues affecting Visa’s Debit business, and facilitate resolution where needed
• Oversee Global Rules affecting the Debit product, including reviewing changes and waivers
• Manage the development and ongoing production of Visa’s Global Debit Scorecard product offering, in partnership with internal Analytics and IT teams
• Partner with Visa’s regions and countries to deploy Scorecard benchmarking and other practices critical to improving issuer level portfolio performance
• Monitor global debit trends, opportunities, and challenges, including competitive and regulatory landscape
The Manager position will support all of the activities of the Global Debit team with a major focus on managing the Debit Scorecard production and deployment processes. Ideal candidates should have a broad perspective of the payments industry coupled with experience in analytics and reporting. In addition, the candidate should have experience using various reporting tools and should be able to analyze the data for key internal partners.
Key Responsibilities of the Program Manager will be to:
• Manage Scorecard production and deployment processes including acting as the primary day-to-day interface for Global Debit with the Analytics and IT Teams
◦ Define and prioritize business requirements and refine the Scorecard process to ensure stakeholders receive reporting on a timely basi
◦ Serve as a subject matter expert for business-related issues that touch the Debit Scorecard platforms and processes
◦ Monitor and evaluate Scorecard operations, processes, and practices for quality and effectiveness; identify opportunities for improvement
◦ Make decisions based on impact to various key stakeholders and understand scope / limitation of the tool
◦ Train and document processes and procedures to strengthen issuer sales teams, product teams, and the client’s understanding and interpretation of the scorecard results
◦ Engage with end clients from time to time
• Develop technical guides, best practices documents, and presentations for internal and external use with key stakeholders (e.g., presentations, white papers)
• Analyze data to identify trends and issues; deliver fact-based, comprehensive, and reliable insights to executive management
• Perform or facilitate research and analysis to inform business decisions
• Become an SME in Consumer Debit
Qualifications
• B.S. or B.A. required
• At least 4 years of experience in analytics in Payments, Retail banking, or Consulting industries
• Ability to contribute new ideas and find solutions to business challenges, resulting in platform enhancements
• Delivering top-quality customer service
• Strong communication skills, both written and interpersonal, and the ability to work collaboratively with others in cross functional teams
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy yet ability and willingness to find the bigger picture
• Self-starter but willing to seek guidance when needed
• Project management experience
• Demonstrated expertise in MS Office (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience with Microstrategy
• Experience with MSTR, Tableau, and Hadoop is a plus
