The Manager Corporate Accounting - Accounts Payable will manage the Accounts Payable and Associated Business Expense functions to support the accounting books of First Citizens Bancshares and its subsidiaries. This includes overseeing the processing of Accounts Payable, Associate Business Expenses and associated functions such as preparing financial reports, reconcilements and journals. This also includes developing procedures and controls, to ensure the department's tasks are completed in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner. Responsible for overseeing a team of associates. Partner with peers in the monthly financial close process; assist with acquisitions and mergers; liaise with audit and regulatory agencies; and play a key role in the overall accuracy and completeness of the Bank's financial results. Assist Accounting Management, Chief Accounting Officer and the Chief Financial Officer in numerous requests and special projects
Position Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
Master degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 5 years accounting, audit, or financial analysis experience and 2 years management/leadership experience

Bachelor degree with a minimum of 7 years accounting, audit or financial analysis experience and 2 years management/leadership experience
Additional Requirements:
• Experience with Accounts Payable, Vendors Records, Sales & Use Tax Tracking and 1099 Miscellaneous Processing
• Ability to effectively manage assigned personnel and motivates and leads the associates to willingly achieve desired results
• Accounting knowledge is required along with the ability to grasp and manage automated systems
• Technical skills in establishing and operating software products via numerous interfaces.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Deep understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and GAAP Accounting.
• Knowledge of bank accounting and reporting requirements.
• Must be able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, to individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to handle confidential and proprietary information.
• Must be multitask oriented and organized.
• Excellent documentation skills.
