Position Summary
Under close supervision, processes quotes, applications, renewals and/or basic endorsements for designated lines of business.
• Candidates with above minimum qualifications may be considered for a Policy Servicing Specialist II position. Number of years and scope of experience will determine level.
• There may be potential for flexible hours after initial training period.
• This position will relocate to Knowledge Park in the coming months.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develops and applies basic knowledge of rules, rates and procedures for quotes, applications, endorsements and/or renewals of designated lines of business.
Processes quotes, applications, renewals and endorsements through ERIE's systems.
Performs limited underwriting review and rates complex quotes, applications, endorsements or renewals as required.
Enters and updates policy records, applying appropriate rules and rates.
Contacts Agents and underwriters to obtain additional information as required.
Verifies data before, during and after entry using online quality control and system edits. Corrects data as necessary.
Develops and applies a basic knowledge of cancellation laws for states in which ERIE operates. Enters cancellations, expirations and partial cancellations into the system as required.
Resolves problems and answers inquiries from associates, Agents, underwriters and management, in routine consultation with Level II and III input.
Accesses online rating and rule manuals and related procedures to process quotes, applications, renewals and/or endorsements for designated lines of business.

Qualifications
High school diploma, or GED, required. Experience providing clerical support related to the rating and/or processing of policies in underwriting application, endorsements, renewals or equivalent, preferred. Basic knowledge of various online systems, such as BUNDL and ERIEbooks, preferred. Passing score on LOMASelect tests required. Willingness to pursue professional insurance/technology courses preferred. This position may require the incumbent to work second shift and weekends.
