Job Description
Everest Insurance, a member of Everest Re Group, Ltd., is seeking an Operations Associate to join our Claims Operations team in Liberty Corner, New Jersey.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Intake, acknowledgment and processing of first notice of loss materials; investigation and follow up to secure claim documentation
• Ongoing claim file maintenance including diary management
• Processing payments and other financial transactions
• Creation and maintenance spreadsheets and databases
• Assist colleagues with a variety of operational functions as needed, including processing and indexing of mail
• Customer service support including answering calls and responding to email inquiries as needed.
• Perform quality control and oversight of outside vendors
• Provide support to Claims professionals
Work Experience & Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree preferred. Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel (pivot tables, etc.)
• Ability to multitask and exhibit flexibility in an evolving, fast paced work environment.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including phone skills with the ability to work collaboratively with various levels within the Claims department as well as the larger Everest organization.
• Analytical & interpretive skills
• Excellent judgment, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
• Prior entry level claim experience and/or knowledge of Property and Casualty insurance a plus
