Job Description
Visa's Global Business Continuity (GBC) Team protects corporate assets from significant business interruptions by optimizing risk management and building operational resiliency. The Global Business Continuity team is made up of three verticals including Crisis Management, BusinessContinuity and
IT Disaster Recovery.
JOB SCOPE
Following established Business Continuity and Crisis Management methodologies including industry standards, the Senior Crisis Management Analystassists in developing and administering Visa’s Crisis Management program to ensure Visa can accomplish command and control for life safety and/or business related incidents as they occur. The position will require a significant amount of off-hour, on-call support and some travel.
• Assisting in developing annual program cycle and calendar according to approved program requirements
• Participating in a wide variety of All Hazard incidents, both business (e.g. Cyber, Settlement, Infrastructure) and life safety based, as required and provides guidance and support in the handling of incidents, including operational incident and crisis support as needed
• Executing the crisis management program for assigned offices and/or key business areas on annual program requirements. This includes annual planning activities conducting annual training, overseeing crisis management plan development, conducting and evaluating CM exercises
• Acting as a consultant to crisis management teams assigned to help develop appropriate response strategies using industry standard options
• Planning and executing CM exercises with crisis management teams including creating exercise scenarios and appropriate exercise documentation
• Evaluating CM exercise results for reporting to management. Facilitating exercise and
incident debrief meetings including root cause identification, recording and tracking action items related to plan updates through resolution in department SharePoint site.
• Supporting all compliance and regulatory reporting requirements as necessary
• Participating in integrated crisis management/business continuity/Physical Security exercises including large building infrastructure exercises
• Championing GBC awareness throughout the enterprise
• Monitoring and tracking program effectiveness using dashboards and metrics for management awareness of BCM program state of readiness
• Understanding the potential impact of relevant laws, industry regulations and government code. Understand the types of audits that the organization is subject to. Collaborate with audit and other departments to maintain currency of information and adhere to compliance requirement
• Strong understanding of FFIEC Business Continuity Guidelines and ISO22301 industry standards to ensure effective integration into tools and GBC program compliance
• Responsible for appropriate use of V-Alert (MIR3 Emergency Notification Tool) and V-Message Staff Information Line) systems for staff updates, exercises and activations
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree
• CBCP/BCI certification
• 6-8 years of proven business resiliency, business continuity, disaster recovery, business operations protection, crisis management, security and/or risk management experience.
• Ability to solve practical problems and react quickly and calmly to changing or emergency circumstances. These services may require long hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
• General understanding of the client lifecycle functions, including sales, implementation and ongoing services.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; must be able to interface and coordinate work effectively with senior business leaders.

• Must be able to interface and coordinate work efficiently and effectively with business partners in remote locations. Ability to influence without authority
• Team oriented self-starter, with high degree of initiative

• Individual must possess a mature ability to deal with stress and make sound professional judgment in potentially threatening environments
• Candidates must be willing to travel domestically and internationally, sometimes on short notice
• Candidate required to be located in Foster City office
• Approximately 5-10% travel required
