Overview
The Human Resource Senior Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting Firm goals. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance.
Essential Functions:
• Providing day to day performance HR guidance to management
• Recruitment – coordinates full-cycle recruitment of University recruiting processes. Coordinates with individual offices on staffing needs, interviewing (on-campus and in-house), attends campus events (some evenings required) through offer process.
• On-boarding and off-boarding of employees to include the conducting new hire orientation, updating the HRIS system and conducting exit interviews
• Assist HR Director with short-term and long-range goals of development of HR policy and procedures, laws, standards and government regulations and making suggested improvements. Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
• Maintains compliance with all federal and state regulations concerning employment
• Maintains employee file maintenance in a timely manner
• Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefit information to employees.
• Working closely with management and employees to maintain excellent working relationships and confidentiality
• Conducting research, gathering and maintaining data and statistical reports
• Coordinating employee morale initiatives and recommending as needed. Acts as an agent of change
Nonessential Functions:
• Performs other duties as directed by the HR Director
Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A Conditions:
• Moderate overtime required throughout the year
• Heavy sitting for extended periods in front of a computer
• Travel, including overnight, may be required approximately 5 % of time

Minimum Qualifications:
• 3 years of progressively responsible experience in a corporate HR environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
• PHR certification preferred
• Knowledge in all HR competencies to include recruitment (Exempt and Non-Exempt), evaluations, employee relations, leaves of absences and benefits
• Working knowledge of current HR laws and regulations
• Campus recruitment experience preferred
• Proficiency in MS office applications
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Working knowledge of HRIS systems ADP preferred
• Experience with applicant tracking systems Jobvite preferred
