At Zurich North America (ZNA), the Property Claims organization is dedicated to helping our customers mitigate commercial property and business losses resulting from a variety of circumstances such as weather events, theft, water or flood damages, vandalism, and business income loss. Our purpose is to get our customers back on their feet and operational as quickly as possible.
As part of our team, you will manage a claims caseload from assignment through resolution. At this level, you will handle a claims caseload of low to moderate complexity to provide technical claims service excellence that includes policy interpretation and coverage analysis; vendor identification and management; collaboration with internal and external contacts that include the customer as well as attorneys, vendors, suppliers and brokers; negotiation and claims resolution; and management of all communications associated with the life of a claim.

We will consider candidates able to work from Dallas or Schaumburg locations.
This position may have the ability to eventually work from home up to 3 days per week.
As part of this team, you are expected to be available to travel as needed for catastrophe field coverage.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Claims and Litigation area that includes property claims
OR
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the Claims and Litigation area within the Insurance industry that includes property claims
OR
• Zurich approved Apprenticeship program including an Associate Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Claims Handling area, that includes property claims, within the Insurance industry
OR
• Juris Doctor and 2 or more years of experience in the Claims and Litigation area, that includes property claims, within the Insurance industry
AND
• Must obtain and maintain required adjuster license(s)
• Knowledge of the insurance industry, claims and the insurance legal and regulatory environment
• Knowledge of claims handling or insurance legal statutes and procedures
• Customer service experience

• 3 or more years of claims experience in property line of business, including business interruption
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to a changing environment
• Organization and time management skills
• Experience collaborating across work groups
• Microsoft Office experience
