Manage the day to day activities of the Inside Sales team. Provide mentoring, training, and coaching to Inside Sales Representatives, all Customer Service Representatives, & Others to ensure sales goals are achieved. Ensure that pipeline management and customer service level agreements are maintained.
Essential Functions
• Manages a team of inside sales representatives who meet sales targets through telemarketing, email marketing, direct mail, and web-based sales strategies. Work with the Marketing team to create & implement powerful marketing strategies.
• Achieves sales goals by hiring and training employees and coaching them to develop their selling skills and maintain adequate sales pipelines
• Achieve service and retention goals by hiring and training service employees and coaching them to develop necessary skills to exceed expectations
• Continue strong relationships with all Insurance Carrier Partner
• Monitor all sales metrics and work with the Data Analytic team to provide & utilize analytics on key performance metrics
• Establish & Maintain relationships with First American affiliates as well as other referral partners through outside sales marketing, event exposure, & relationship building on behalf of the entire agency
Knowledge and Skills/Technology Used
• Must have P&C Insurance License
• Proven track record of meeting revenue goals
• Ability to coach, train, motivate and mentor a sales team
• Ability to multi-task and successfully prioritize
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to identify training opportunities
• Analytical and organizational skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at the Management level across functional groups and business units. Adeptness to influence the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations, using influence and preventing damage to the relationships
• Strong capacity to communicate the function’s vision and the department’s direction and set aligned goals. Provides resources and creates systems to measure results. Familiar with competitor, financial and industry dynamics
• Actively recruits, retains and develops talent and holds employees accountable for results. Leads change, manages conflict and fosters collaboration
• Drives and models customer loyalty, manages customer expectations, solicits customer feedback and ensures commitments are met
• Provides others with reliable information and delivers informative and persuasive presentations. Uses good listening skills and negotiates effectively
• Collaboratively engages with leaders to create, identify, and implement solutions to further effectiveness of the business
Typical Education
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Typical Range of Experience
• 5-7 years of personal insurance sales experience. Commercial insurance a plus.
• 3-5 years demonstrated experience in a supervisory or management role
• Demonstrated success establishing, leading and maintaining effective working relationships at the Middle Management level
