The Insurance Sales Supervisor – P&C leads a groups of Insurance Sales agents, providing mentoring, training, and coaching. Ensure that the sales team stays motivated to achieve key performance indicators set by management.
Essential Functions
• Manages a team of inside sales agents/representatives who meet sales targets through telemarketing, email marketing, direct mail, and web-based sales strategies
• Work with the department manager to assist with projects and sales metric reporting
• Achieves sales goals by hiring and training employees, providing coaching to develop selling skills and maintain adequate sales pipelines
• Establish & maintain relationships with First American affiliates as well as other referral partners through outside sales marketing, event exposure, & relationship building on behalf of the entire agency
Knowledge and Skills/Technology Used
• Must have P&C Insurance License
• Proven track record of meeting revenue goals
• Successful track record of executing day to day operational responsibilities, along with participating in, developing and completing projects in area of expertise
• Ability to coach, train, motivate and mentor a sales team
• Actively recruits, retains and develops talent and holds employees accountable for results. Leads change, manages conflict and fosters collaboration
• Ability to multi-task and successfully prioritize
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Analytical and organizational skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at the Management level across functional groups and business units. Adeptness to influence the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations, using influence and preventing damage to the relationships
• Provides others with reliable information and delivers informative and persuasive presentations. Uses good listening skills and negotiates effectively
• Able to implement and enforce processes to ensure compliance and quality
Typical Education
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Typical Range of Experience
• 3-5 years of personal insurance sales experience. Commercial insurance a plus.
• 2-3 years demonstrated experience in a supervisory or management role
