Position Overview
The Manager of Learning and Development (L&D) for Freddie Mac’s Internal Audit Division (IA) is responsible for the creation, implementation, coordination and management of programs that expand the talents and skills of Internal Audit to support organizational needs.
The Manager of Learning and Development will partner with IA leadership to set the strategy for training and development initiatives, with the overall goal of improving both individual and division performance and developing necessary skills and competencies. The Manager will identify learning needs, and develop and deliver innovative solutions in line with Internal Audit’s strategy.
Responsibilities:
• Create L&D programs that align with Internal Audit’s objectives and needs
• Work closely with leaders across the division to gain an understanding of their training requirements, and translate the requirements into delivery of appropriate L&D programs
• Deploy a wide variety of training methods, including mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in-classroom training, e-learning, workshops, conferences, and simulations
• Establish and monitor metrics to measure whether L&D efforts and results are efficiently and effectively meeting the business needs of the organization
• Assess the success of learning and development programs through the incorporation of taught skills and techniques into work behavior and help employees make the most of learning opportunities
• Manage the L&D budget
• Develop and manage relationships with vendors

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS)preferably in a relevant field
• A minimum of 8 to 10+ years of related experience and 4+ years of management skills with a passion for leading and developing people to meet their highest level of potential
• Proven track record in developing and delivering innovative and sustainable L&D solutions
• Able to lead and develop high-performing teams and people
• Proven ability to collaborate across functional and department boundaries and influence people at all levels of the division
• Thrive in a collaborative and team-oriented culture
• Possess solid knowledge of and understanding of the training industry, trends, current learning technologies, assessments and survey platforms.
• Previous audit experience and/or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CIA, CPA, CISA, CISSP, CISM, CFA)
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent public speaking and presentation skills
Preferred Skills
• Knowledge of mortgage industry
