Your Work Falls Into Three Primary Categories:
Audit
• The ACME team audits a variety of areas including; securities trading desks, treasury and debt functions, middle and back office functions, market risk management, liquidity risk management, and counterparty and credit risk management.
• As an Audit Supervisor for the ACME audit team, you will supervise the day-to-day oversight of individual audit, understand the business, create a project plan, assign team responsibilities, and create a risk and control matrix.
Reporting and Planning
• Audit Supervisors are also responsible for administrative tasks, including resource allocation and scheduling, management and audit committee reporting, and assisting with the annual planning process. You may also be tasked with leading specific control initiatives, firm-wide process changes or for conducting special investigations.
Communication
• You will coordinate with the other audit teams, keep the VP updated on progress, communicate with the business client, identify deficiencies in the control design and operating effectiveness and provide solutions
• Prepare the audit report and participate in the reporting process, perform testing of controls, lead client meeting and communicate audit findings.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
• Typically has 5 to 7+ years of experience, including previous experience in public accounting, risk management or internal audit
• Good understanding of the financial services industry
• Proficiency in audit methodology and risk/controls assessments
• Demonstrated ability to build professional relationship and rapport with clients.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
Preferred Skills
• Advanced degree; CIA or CPA certification
• Experience conducting audits in Risk Management
• Experience in Capital Markets or Risk Management audits
• Financial Institution or Big 4 advisory experience is highly preferred.
