POSITION TITLE
Quality Assurance Analyst, Insurance Risk
LOCATION
Richmond, VA or Lynchburg, VA
YOUR ROLE
This is a great opportunity for you within the Risk Department to utilize your expertise and drive to develop, execute and maintain a high-caliber risk quality assurance (QA) testing program for Genworth’s US Life business. You will be part of a collaborative Risk (second line of defense) team while also partnering across USLI business (first line of defense) functions.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Active involvement with the execution against risk quality assurance testing program
• Participate in and provide input on the test execution and defect reporting & tracking
• Strong collaboration across the business, at all levels, to ensure awareness of QA and its importance as a business driver
• Assist with the execution of program in alignment with “Lines of Defense” strategy, specifically the role of the 2nd Line of Defense in an Insurance/Financial Services organization
• Prepare monthly and quarterly analysis and reporting of results
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• At least three years of QA work experience and relevant Insurance/Financial Services work experience
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills to a structured QA testing process;
• Hands-on experience with Test Execution and Defect Reporting & Tracking
• Experience using test scripts with minimal assistance
• Knowledge and experience with testing tools (e.g. test management, automated testing tools, etc.)
• Proven ability to effectively communicate and be able to produce clear and concise documentation at the detail and summary level
• Proficiency with office software: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint (Visual Basic preferred)
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
• Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis on performance issues and suggest appropriate corrective actions
• Success managing multiple assignments with competing/tight deadlines while maintaining a high-quality product and execute in a complex or dynamic working environment
