Demonstrates proven experience meeting/exceeding deposit and loan growth goals through balancing sales development and client relationship management. Performs a variety of sales and service related activities in order to support business clients with borrowing needs of up to $5 Million and assesses credit risk of clients with up to $25 Million in revenue. Has superb leadership skills demonstrated by effectively maintaining strong relationships within the community, partnering with other lines of business, mentoring, and participating in civic and community affairs. Maintains a thorough knowledge of products and services available to clients and is capable of executing consultative global discussions centered on cash flow and treasury management to enhance the management of a business’ operating cycle.
Essential Job Responsibilities
1. Demonstrates proven experience meeting/exceeding deposit and loan growth goals through balancing sales development and client relationship management.
2. Performs a variety of sales and service related activities in order to support business clients with borrowing needs of up to $5 Million and assesses credit risk of clients with up to $20 Million in revenue.
3. Capably analyzes credit exposures of up to $5.0 million in order to accurately assess credit and operational risk and defines mitigants of such risk to assure onboarding of satisfactory credit quality. Proficiently discusses all aspects of the financial trends of the balance sheet and income statement.
4. Has superb leadership skills demonstrated by effectively maintaining strong relationships within the community, partnering with other lines of business, mentoring, and participating in civic and community affairs.
5. Solicits new business from present and prospective clients, maintains systematic calling within the Book of Business in order to expand cross-sell opportunities.
6. Embraces the sales/credit model and maintains sales and credit standards by referring quality small business requests that result in at least a 60% approval rating.
7. Maintains a thorough knowledge of products and services available to clients and is capable of executing consultative global discussions centered on cash flow and cash management to enhance the management of a business’ operating cycle.
8. Possess a strong knowledge of treasury management services in order to independently execute definable discussions with clients and prospects and deliver the cash management capability of First Commonwealth.
9. Monitors individual sales performance versus objectives on a regular basis and discusses the performance with supervisor on a frequent basis.
10. Capably and willingly represents the business (task forces, feedback forums, special projects, etc.) through the expression of ideas and opinions in a professional and constructive manner.
11. Refers business across the business lines of First Commonwealth.
12. Coordinates with the Loan Committee in the underwriting of transactions over $1 million.
13. Services assigned portfolio including any required collection efforts.
Bona Fide Occupational Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in accounting, business administration, or related field required
2. A minimum of five (5) years in Business and/or Corporate Banking required.
3. Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, written and verbal. Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and analytical/mathematical skills
4. Must possess a valid driver’s license and have the ability to travel regionally.
