Overview
Will be responsible for managing large scale leadership development initiatives aimed at accelerating the development of leaders at Fulton Financial Corporation. Will manage the design, implementation and evaluation of leadership development programs. Will also manage flagship programs and resources that include coaching and feedback for results, new leader onboarding, targeted selection, the leader’s toolbox, and the management trainee emerging leader program. Will work in an ambiguous environment with minimal guidance or supervision while being skilled at anticipating needs, creating contingency plans, managing multiple priorities, problem solving and organizing program logistics.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties
• Develop the strategic goals for leadership development, including establishing annual priorities for leadership development aligned with the corporate strategic priorities. Responsible for assessing leadership and development needs through surveys, focus groups, and interviews with employees, managers, and other critical stakeholders. Will consult with the HR Business Partners on leadership development needs within their client groups and will look for further ways to partner cross institutionally and cross functionally. Responsible for providing strong subject matter expertise in leadership development, organization development and change management. Will ensure the continual growth of leadership development by staying connected to department specific trends and incorporating those trends that will positively impact the organization. Will conduct mid year and end of year strategic review and planning sessions to prioritize resources and budget against needs.
• Design, develop, deliver, and evaluate leadership programs using department specific standards for design and delivery. Will incorporate a variety of blended learning and instructional techniques or formats, such as or elearning, role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos to address adult learning needs. Will design and deliver courseware and reinforcement tools and strategies for select programs to build and sustain a culture of coaching and leadership development. Responsible for managing the Leader’s Toolbox as the go to resource for leadership across the enterprise. Will consult with HR Business Partners and client groups to build solutions for leadership development, including offsite leadership development retreats, teambuilding exercises, Fulton Experience reinforcement sessions, lunch and learn programs, webinar refreshers, and peer coaching groups. Research, adopt, and manage relevant leadership assessment tools including 360s, DISC, MBTI, etc.; familiarity with leadership competency models. Will measure the effectiveness of leadership development programs, create evaluation strategies using Metrics that Matter, establish KPIs and program metrics, build quarterly and annual dashboards, and present and interpret results. Will recommend changes to strategy and content.
• Responsible for managing and executing day to day operations for specific leadership development programs and projects, including but not limited to planning, logistics, space reservations, inputting and updating project plans, RASCI charts, and ensuring accuracy with the Learning Management System. Will coordinate complex schedules with limited availability among internal and external stakeholders to successfully complete programs and ensure maximum participation. Responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements. Will manage budgets for specific programs and projects, taking action to implement cost savings and productivity initiatives as needed. Will take on cross functional learning and leadership projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
• Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience. Specialty: Education, Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, Industrial Organizational Psychology or related field. (Required)
Experience
• 5 or more years Learning and Development, Talent Development or Organizational Development. (Required)
• 5 or more years Partnering with HR and business leaders to effectively diagnose, develop, and implement appropriate leadership development interventions aligned with the corporate strategic priorities. (Required)
• 5 or more years Experience in leadership coaching, development, and curriculum development. (Required)
