Job Description
Manulife has an opening for a Strategy and Implementation Consultant on our Digital Customer Experience team. In this role you will support the ideation and execution of key strategic deliverables within the Enterprise Operations and IT organization.
Responsibilities for this role include:
• Working with senior management to define and manage the scope, strategy and requirements of business initiatives with specific emphasis on creating integrated strategic solutions
• Researching, gather and inform management on emerging technologies and operational trends
• You will the status quo and identify ways to creatively address critical global priorities including becoming a customer obsessed, technology first, cost fit organization
• Vetting innovative operational and technology solutions
• Supporting the creation and presentation of business cases for innovative solutions
• Presenting business cases to key partners to obtain approval
• Piloting and testing emerging technology within the organization
• Enabling customer experience solutions through the use of technology
• Effectively communicating with business unit management as well as business partners across the business unit including Insurance Services, Product Development, Project Office and Sales teams
• Representing and advocating for business unit in major division or corporate initiatives ensuring business unit needs are appropriately addressed
• Directing activities of other team members
Requirements for this role include:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 5+ years progressive business analysis, systems analysis, and/or project management experience supporting significant business initiatives.
• 7+ years of business experience
• Highly motivated and intellectually curious problem-solver
• Great analytic thinker who can connect the seemingly unconnected
• Adaptable self-starter who is able to thrive in ambiguous or rapidly changing environments
• Has a deep desire to learn and improve by seeking, accepting and acting on productive feedback
• Desire and ability to learn quickly and work in an agile environment
• Demonstrated ability to deliver world class work
• Ability to research new technologies and develop actionable strategies
• Outstanding abilities in storytelling, developing and delivering executive level presentations
• Willing to push the boundary as far as what can be implemented within the organization
• Strong facilitation skills and ability to build team consensus by utilizing strong conflict management skills
• Ability to build effective business relationships with key partners and business management
• Able to translate issues and problems into effective business solutions.
• Ability to effectively apply project management and business cases methodologies and ensure the necessary technical skills are included with the project team and utilized appropriately
