The Opportunity
This team is responsible for driving a holistic approach to the enterprise’s information security- cybersecurity initiatives, risk management and risk mitigation. You’ll set technical direction for our information security governance, risk and compliance department. You’ll be critical to the organization’s security and credibility, as you establish systems to prevent others from infiltrating company information or jeopardizing our company’s purpose. These are big objectives, and we’re looking for somebody who is up for a challenge
Responsibilities
What you’ll do:
• In this role, you will work across the company to bring a holistic approach to the company’s information security initiatives as cybersecurity. You’ll set the vision and technical direction for our information security governance, risk and compliance department, ensuring we have the right skills on the team to support our technologies. You’ll engage, retain, coach and develop the team to success both our business objectives and their career objectives.
• You’ll conduct risk assessments to evaluate potential threats to business viability, information security/recovery, and physical security. You’ll be critical to the organizations security and credibility, as you establish systems to prevent others from infiltrating company information or jeopardizing our company’s purpose. You’ll assesses the impact caused by theft, destruction, alteration, or denial of access to information. You’ll also be a primary control point during significant information security incidents.
• In partnership with IT architecture, engineering, operations and application teams to develop and implement roadmaps that enable lifecycle management of our entire solution portfolio with a focus on reducing risk and keeping the technologies current and evolving. You’ll collaborate with other teams to solve security problems with minimal disruption to other business functions.
• You’ll drive continuous improvement of our security program to eliminate security waste created by applying LEAN principles.
• Serves as the Company’s subject matter expert on compliance matters, in particular supporting IT General Controls, and Security regulations
• At The Standard, our information security team is not in the business of just saying ‘No’. You’ll need to able to adapt to the business initiatives, interpreting business requirements and consulting on the best solution or approach to achieve desired outcomes.
Qualifications

• We are looking for someone with a combination of leadership skills, management ability and depth of experience in information risk management. Information Security follows a servant leadership approach.
• A trusted advisor to the business and take a risk-centric approach of information security and requirements.
• A Self starter and passionate about joining and leading a talented and diverse team
• Former Big 4 Experience is a plus
Education
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security/Risk Management or related work experience.
