Sr. Cloud Migration Architect, Vice President
Job Summary
MUFG is seeking an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Migration Architect. The candidate must have expertise in migrating financial applications solutions and software components to AWS. Candidates should have experience deploying and testing in cloud infrastructures and configuration and administration of cloud-based services. We are building a core team to work in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. A candidate for this position will be a self-starter who values their work and that of their team member.
Responsibilities
• Architecting cloud solutions
• Partner with other Architects to Maintain and refine 3-year migration roadmap as part of Application Rationalization Program and Transformation initiative
• Support/design and update the Migration Factory Model to include Implementation of DevOps practices such as infrastructure as code, automated continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Apply automated test tools to cloud-based applications and participate in software development processes with quality assurance, version control and build processes
• Design, migrate, and deploy scalable, highly available and reliable applications on AWS
• Select and integrate appropriate AWS services to support an application based on business requirements
• Work with developers and system owners to define and document mission requirements, and use cases, and develop cloud-based solutions to meet the requirements
• Assist solution architects design scalable, highly available, secure application solutions that leverage best practices and AWS services
• Translate organizational level business requirements and use cases into IT/IS infrastructure capabilities verified to meet the requirements.
• Design solution-independent architecture models that map business services to cloud application stacks.
• Continuously manage, monitor, and update architecture models as business needs evolve and additional AWS cloud services become available.
Qualifications
• AWS Architect or Developer certification (at least an associate, but professional will be preferred)
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; degree in computer science, mathematics or related field preferred
• Demonstrated experience moving commercial applications to AWS cloud environments
• Experience with network integration and Cloud connectivity of public and private environments; Ingress and egress of data to and from AWS
• Experience of compute and storage management and cost control mechanisms
• Knowledge of cloud reference architectures and AWS best practices
• Financial Experience desired as this is highly regulated risk averse environment
