Summary
Part time office assistant needed to assist a financial representative with administrative work in a professional office environment. This position is ideal for an experienced professional who is looking for part-time professional work, or someone looking to grow long-term in a professional office environment.
The ideal candidate must show dependability and effectiveness. Must be reliable and able to successfully complete tasks within certain timelines. Must be able to anticipate top priorities that need to get done for the business and demonstrate initiative to get things done.
Hours needed currently is between 12 - 20 hours per week, averaging about 15 hours / week typically. This position will have potential for additional responsibilities/ work over time, in tandem with business growth. On the job training will be provided. Primary hours needed may vary anywhere between 11am - 7pm Monday-Friday. The Office Assistant reports to and is employed by the financial representative. Medical benefits are not provided by Thrivent Financial.
Responsibilities:
• Calling new leads and successfully scheduling appointments
• Calling existing clients and scheduling appointments
• Entering new leads into database.
• Following up daily on pending business to ensure sales are processed in a timely manner.
• Contribute to annual goals by getting events scheduled and meetings with new prospects on the calendar in an organized way.
• Learning company software and entering client meeting data into database.
• Preparing paperwork before client meetings.
• Completing expense reports.
• Tracking/reporting weekly sales statistics.
• Constant initiative. Be proactive and anticipate changing needs
• Occasionally (but not often) assisting with workshop events in evenings or weekends.
• Other miscellaneous tasks as assigned
