Job Description Summary
Responsible for directing collection activities on consumer accounts in various stages of risk or delinquency to effectively mitigate loan losses and may evaluate the job performance of collection supervisors and their immediate direct reports as appropriate.
Essential Job Functions
• Manage the staff of the Remarketing Department, including hiring and termination, training and guidance, performance evaluation, recommendation for merit and promotion adjustment.
• Monitors the remarketing process to ensure compliance with Bank policy and guidelines.
• Schedule auction sale dates and assigning Officers to each sale.
• Maintain vendor relationships with auctions and brokers, insuring compliance with the Bank’s Third Party Management Policies.
• Attend auction sales to inspect collateral and represent the Bank.
• Continually research new sale and auction products to insure that all Bank units are sold for the highest resale value.
• Implements effective and efficient process improvement.
• Reviews vendor invoice policy and procedure to ensure compliance with auction agreements and Bank policy.
• Oversees and manages the reporting of sales, including comparative analysis and auction report cards.
• Adheres to and monitors adherence to various collection laws, including but not limited to: Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Experience
• Five or more years collection experience
• Basic management experience, including work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching, process improvement and execution
Education
• High School Diploma or GED Required - College Degree preferred
Skills
• Complete and thorough knowledge of Auto, RV and Marine industry standards for determining condition, repair estimates, valuations and the selling of personal property through auctions and brokers.
