The Senior Talent Advisor is responsible for being an expert strategic thought partner within aligned Corporate Department/SBU, working collaboratively with aligned executives to drive talent and organizational strategies that help achieve business goals and objectives. In this role you will provide strategic, integrated thinking and consultative support to the business that will attract, develop, and drive talent outcomes.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as leader with aligned Corporate Department/SBU senior executives to link/design short and long-term talent strategies, in areas such as strategic workforce planning, manager effectiveness, leadership capabilities, talent development, succession planning and diversity and inclusion plans that support business development and achievement of business goals, consistent with Liberty Mutual`s Talent and Enterprise Services Strategy.
• Communicate integrated talent strategies/plans to all levels of the organization and across Talent and Enterprise Services in a clear, concise, and thoughtful way to inspire confidence, alignment and engagement.
• Drive employee engagement strategies that will foster sustained momentum and support our goal of being a global employer of choice.
• Create integrated strategies and initiatives that drive organizational effectiveness, including the delivery of organizational design consultation during business planning and/or when solving business issues. Create communication and change management plans that support defined programs, taking into account the organization`s current state and readiness for change. Effectively leverages Organizational Effectiveness, Talent Management Practices, Learning & Development, Management Systems and Diversity and Inclusion frameworks, processes and tools.
• Oversees key talent and strategic business initiatives/projects identified to meet business needs. Ensure appropriate resourcing of projects by leveraging Talent Delivery Team as well as support and expertise from Talent and Enterprise Services Practice Areas. Collaborate with Talent and Enterprise Services Practice Areas to ensure Corporate Department/SBU talent strategies are aligned and leveraged effectively and that obstacles that are facing the business are communicated.
• Consult, recommend and evaluate talent related metrics (operational, ER, Diversity and Inclusion, etc.) to determine overall effectiveness and/or gaps with talent initiatives or practices. Make data-driven decisions and recommendations using competitive intelligence, metrics and market data to ensure alignment with aligned Corporate Department/SBU business plans.
• Coach executives on leadership effectiveness and integrating the Management System principles and practices into their way of leading the people in their organization.
• Participates in professional networks and/or stay up to date on current research to ensure awareness of social, economic, and regulatory trends that may affect the business and future talent strategies.
• Serves as a leader in the Talent and Enterprise Services community and participates in the professional development, coaching and mentoring Enterprise staff, in particular Talent Advisors and Talent Delivery Team staff. May manage a team of Talent Advisors
Qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree and 15+ years progressive experience in Human Resources with a minimum of 5+ years management experience. Advanced degree preferred.
• Senior Executive level experience working in a Fortune 100 organization preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of human resource programs, theory and practices including experience in leadership development, organizational effectiveness and design, learning and development, performance management, career management, succession planning, coaching and developing diversity and inclusion plans/driving awareness is required.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate talent strategies and programs across multiple functions to deliver improved business results.
• Expert leadership skills with the proven ability to effectively influence and communicate at all levels of the the organization and manage multiple stakeholder relationships.
• Change Management experience required
• Strong business acumen and ability to participate in strategic business discussion with executives
• Must possess advanced analytical, strategic, project management, decision-making and problem-solving skills. • Demonstrate ability to drive tangible results.
