Role Profile
FTSE Russell plays a significant and influential role in financial markets worldwide and has strong relationships within the financial services industry and with government and regulatory agencies worldwide.
Reporting to the Managing Director – U.S Sales, the Regional Director is a senior sales role responsible for sales with asset managers, hedge funds and sellside firms. The individual will be responsible for growing sales from a significant revenue base of existing clients through cross selling new products, implementing our global commercial policy, in addition to working to add new clients. Working closely with Client Service, Product Management, Research, and Marketing and other Regional Sales Directors, the following lists the key areas of responsibility for this role:
• Responsibility for named territory clients and prospects
• Achievement of revenue growth targets
• Development and implementation of Quarterly Business Plans to increase adoption and penetration of FTSE-Russell services within name accounts
• Coordination with the global sales team, service and other departments on execution of the territory plans
• Identify innovative solutions to provide our clients with a competitive advantage
• Develop and manage key relationships with senior and/or influential contacts
Key Responsibilities
• Management and growth of regional territory with targets exceeding $3m in annual gross sales.
• Negotiate and close major deals consistently on monthly and quarterly basis
• Creation and execution of Quarterly Business Plans
• Understanding the drivers and people of our key accounts and the ability to develop and implement strategies to better align the firm with our clients’ business
• Ability to work cross functionally to ensure that full value is delivered to the client in terms of FTSE Russell product, service and professional expertise
• Daily management of sales activity, pipeline within Salesforce.com
Candidate Profile / Key Skills
• Extensive Institutional/Buy-side sales experience.
• Deep knowledge of Asset Allocation and Investment Strategies.
• Proven ability to work with clients and influence at a senior level.
• Proven background in solution selling.
• Proven and consistent over achievement of sales targets.
• Excellent and deep knowledge of the financial markets.
• Extensive senior sales and relationship management in the area of asset allocation, financial data, investment markets or closely related areas.
• Willing to travel as necessary, up to 40% of the time.
