Job Description
Position Description
The Head of Commercial Model Development will lead a team developing complex quantitative models used in commercial loss forecasting and stress testing. The individual will be involved in data extraction and preparation, model specification and performance testing, ongoing model performance monitoring, and supporting the development team throughout the model validation process.
Job Responsibilities
Key duties and responsibilities of this position include, but may not be limited to:
• Design, estimate, implement, test, document and maintain highly complex quantitative models.
• Develop model performance metrics and perform ongoing monitoring.
Qualifications
PhD in a quantitative discipline (e.g., economics, statistics, operations research).
10+ years of model development experience in the financial services industry, preferably with auto modeling experience.
Knowledge of financial service products and risk characteristics.
Extensive experience with large datasets, particularly in data extraction and preparation using SAS/SQL.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
