Overview
We’re changing the way we communicate with our employees and are looking for someone who is passionate about communication and making a meaningful connection with the audience. This role will work with the Internal Communications Manager to help shape our evolving culture and employment brand by developing and delivering internal communications through various channels. Primary responsibilities include writing, editing, proofreading, and some design.
Responsibilities
• Assist in writing, editing and publishing newsletters and company announcements to a diverse audience of team members.
• Help seek out and draft compelling stories that tell the team member experience.
• Help maintain tracking systems and planning calendars
• Assist in updating the content of internal websites.
• Partner with Marketing to align employer brand with organizational brand.
• Proactively seek feedback from team members and use their voice to help drive communications preferences.
• A critical eye and desire to deliver quality work.
• Play a key role in redeveloping and improving the intranet as a key internal communications tool.
• Represent internal communications on projects as required to ensure that project managers take note of internal communications needs.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications
Qualifications
• Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 5-7 years of relevant experience working in corporations or non-profit communications
• Proficient in MS Office, webex and video production
• Ability to recognize opportunities, develop and work with others to implement solutions.
• A critical eye and desire to deliver quality work.
• Ability to meet and adhere to strict deadlines, and work collaboratively.
• Professional demeanor with ability to be sensitive to confidential matters.
• Basic understanding of Adobe Creative Suite and basic HTML a plus.

• This position requires a high degree of self-motivation and initiative, attention to detail, and the desire to be creative.
• Interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively interact with others and various levels of management personnel

• This position requires software and computer proficiency
Physical Activities/Requirements
• Ability to travel throughout Northern California occasionally.
