The Director, Commercial Strategies Initiativesis responsible for promoting the growth and maturation of the Commercial Banking division at BOK Financial. The position will collaborate with senior leaders of the Commercial Bank to generate, coordinate and execute initiatives across the organization. This position works on the most complex projects across the Commercial Bank and works directly with internal shared service providers to ensure the Commercial Bank is responsive to the needs of the broader organization. This position manages multiple large projects with significant impact to the enterprise.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop strategies through consultative relationships with Commercial Banking Executives and Sr. Leaders to strategically enhance the Commercial Bank. Evaluate strategic initiatives seeking process improvement opportunities within LOBs to enhance processes, structure or other value add options
2. Lead the roll-out of new initiatives, processes and procedures and serves as a change management leader across the Commercial Bank. Lead process improvement and redesign initiatives to promote overall process efficiency and effectiveness, including changes to operating processes, procedures, and systems as well as complex, cross-functional implementation projects. Design and craft communications to support new, enhanced or evolving business initiatives
3. Partner with internal shared service providers (Credit Administration, IT, Risk, Internal Audit) to ensure the Commercial Bank is responsive to needs of the broader organization. While addressing pressing concerns, find ways to add value to the Commercial Bank
4. Through developed relationships at other Commercial Banking organizations and publicly available information, maintain awareness of the competitive dynamics within the Commercial Banking environment
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
• Extensive working knowledge of Commercial Bank processes and procedures.
• Ability to partner across disciplines and lead cross-functional teams.
• Ability to analyze bank and division level financial statements and the impact of proposed changes to business processes on financial performance.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills at all management levels
• Knowledge in project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices and change management techniques
• Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related discipline; 10+ years in an underwriting / business development role in a Commercial Banking institution or 15+ years of related business experience.
