JOB SUMMARY
MANAGING DIRECTOR OF AGENCY SERVICES
This position requires exceptional client facing skills and is a client centric position, facing the market for both PCA and ESA as well as supporting service lines such as Seismic, Green, Construction, and Zoning. Leads Agency Review/Management group in interactions with Clients to assure long-term, mutually beneficial business relationships. General duties include oversight of QA/QC of reports, staff management, client education program, project management, platform management, strategic planning in concert with VAS, coordination and report delivery, client growth in partnership with ACS business development (BD) team, maintenance of current accounts, and the development of new accounts. Acts as the liaison between ACS Project Managers, Reviewers, and others in support of the Lender Client base and Agency adjacent stakeholders. Requires in depth and significant time commitment to employees, colleagues, the company and clients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads others in establishing standards of care for clients – takes ownership of platform, providing exceptional client outcomes on a consistent basis. Aligns ACS strategy with larger vision of the company with respect to SPOC relationships and client care.
Participates in strategic goals and discussions with BD team, VAS leaders, other ACS group leaders; recognizes changes in the industry or market and adjusts processes to accommodate same; Communicate directly and assertively with challenging problems such as QA/QC, productivity, communication breakdowns; reaches beyond their position and shows initiative on efficiencies, improving the client experience, building relationships with other CBRE entities and expanding the reach of ACS. Upholds company's risk position and maintains position of authority when facing market; thoroughly understands reliance position and client agreements, incentives, policies, contracts, and implements same; supports the company's strategic goals and management's goals in communications – leads others in this regard.
Assure that all ACS process/protocols are followed. Preparation of templates and management of all associated documents in support of the process. Development and maintenance of ACS Agency internal documents, training library and ensuring all employee Agency required credentials are kept up to date.
Manage ESA & PCA Agency reviewers and client deliverable product; provide ESA and/or PCA review on an ongoing basis and technical review related to ESA/PCA issues; be a resource to all ACS employees in this regard. Manage, mentor, and develop junior PCA & ESA staff, sharing expertise through white papers, webinars, presentations, and other creative productions. Provide cradle to grave project management, assuring a timely delivery of high quality reports to Lender Clients or other stakeholders for both ESA and PCA execution. Coordinate all dual scope assignments assuring exceptional outcomes and exceptional results for CBRE ACS Lender clients.
Identifies partnerships and opportunities within the greater CBRE family including Appraisal, Capital Markets, and other CBRE business lines; manage client database and manage business development schedules and targets in conjunction with the sales staff; assures a thoroughness and methodical planning for Accounts development. Identifies new and innovative opportunities in the marketplace, blending the CBRE ACS service offerings with industry opportunities and client needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree (BA or BS) from four-year college or university required. A minimum of (10) years of physical due diligence risk background required.
Institutional review experience is a plus. Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents.
Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style.
Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups.
Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action. Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles.
Reviews complex financial/business analysis and reports prepared by subordinates.
Ability to analyze the most complex business/financial data and develop innovative solutions. Develops and implements financial policies and procedures.
Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing sales environment.
Must be proficient in all MS Office products including MS Word and MS Excel. Good writing skills. Decision-making skills with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies, risk and business practices to achieve complex results.
Responsible for setting project, department and/or division deadlines.
SELECTION PROCESS
The successful candidate will submit a brief business plan (no more than 3-5 pages) that describes their plan for managing and expanding the CBRE Agency business and leading this group into the next 5 years. The business plan must align with Tom McDonnell’s 5 in 5 growth plan for VAS / ACS and may be presented in any format including Word, Excel, Powerpoint or other.
