Description
The Annuities Product Manager, Product Solutions will report to Director Product Solutions and is responsible for supporting various business functions, including the sales and service organizations, and executing operational processes required to ensure accuracy of ongoing product administration. This will include maintaining the integrity of administration, processes and product rules, and alignment with original design, pricing, and regulatory filings for 300+ fixed and variable annuity product & benefit combinations.
• Partner with sales channels, control functions and business partners in providing on-going detailed product process information to resolve problems
• Develop creative customer-focused solutions to escalated service and sales inquiries and problems.
• Participate on cross-functional Complaint Board; resolve customer complaints and collaborate in developing strategies to limit future complaints.
• Develop strategies, implement, and support the implementation of, new product processes ensuring product and actuarial integrity.
• Support ad hoc assessments, project support and operational efforts requiring product subject matter expertise as either a project team member, individual contributor or team lead.
• Assess impact of regulation changes on product administration and create appropriate action steps
• Partner with other teams within Product and Actuarial to ensure understanding of current objectives and strategies
• Support Sales and Distribution with competitive product analysis, identifying gaps and differentiators for consideration
• Incorporate competitive positioning based on a feedback loop with Sales and Distribution
Qualifications
• 4-7 years’ relevant experience; Annuities or Variable Life Insurance experience required.
◦ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
◦ Strong communication and presentation skills
◦ Exceptional collaboration skills and ability to partner with a wide variety of other functions and levels, including Sales, Service, IT, Control and Actuarial functions.
◦ Strength of convictions and ability to influence decisions and champion product administrative or operational changes
◦ Solution oriented with strong problem solving skills with a demonstrated ability to leverage resource materials to support decisions
◦ Must have solid organizational skills with the ability to develop and execute plans
◦ Ability to effectively manage several dissimilar deliverables and prioritize.
◦ Ability to work independently, as part of a team or lead a team
◦ Excellent technical financial services product knowledge
