Description
The Business Operations Management Team (BOMT) is looking for an experienced Business Manager to work in coordination with other Strategic Business Unit (SBU) business managers and directly support the SBU lead partner and executive leadership, along with their respective Internal Client Services (ICS) business partners.
You will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency of business operations as well as setting strategic goals with your partner and/or team for the future.
The ideal candidate will be well-versed in all matters of the business. They will be a competent leader able to provide guidance that enhances performance in a manner which incorporates the SBU’s vision and culture with the goal of ensuring profitability of Public Sector activities to drive sustainable growth and long-term success.
A successful individual will have the ability to think strategically, act tactically, and display strong analytical and critical thinking skills. The candidate must also be able to build strong cross-group working relationships and demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. In addition, the candidate must have strong communication skills in order to brief senior leadership, to educate project teams on optimizing profitability, and to inform SBU resources of new administrative processes, protocols, and/or requirements.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Manage all aspects of reporting and analysis for their respective SBU ensuring timeliness, completeness, and accuracy
• Development of key performance metrics slides for monthly operations meetings
• Development of pipeline slides for monthly growth meetings
• Monthly production/utilization analysis, in conjunction with supporting client facing staff to produce obtainable plans for meeting performance goals
• Support development of performance dashboards that encompass key metrics to help drive and manage the business
• Work with project teams to track Estimate to Complete profitability and provide ongoing analysis
• Work closely with Billing/Finance and engagement managers to accelerate collections on aged receivables and open billing
• Support the Brand and Knowledge Management teams’ short term tactical goals with long term strategies
• Lead/support ad hoc special projects from leadership and/or BOMT (business operations management team)
Qualifications
• B.S. degree in Finance, Business, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in the areas of finance or business management operations in a mid-to-large scale company
• Strong Excel skills
• Strong analytical background
• Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing
• Experience working effectively across internal and external organizations
• Experience with operational discipline and history of establishing robust operational cadence and reporting mechanisms
