Position Description
The Sr Director of Deposits & Consumer Payments Analytics will be responsible for product/portfolio analytics, price optimization and advanced customer segmentation across deposits and Ally's co-branded credit card. In addition, this leader will be lead an integral part of building out new technology and analytic capabilities that will be instrumental for Ally to understand the unique customer dynamics and enable transformational banking experiences. This leader will directly report to the Deposits & Consumer Strategy executive and face off with various executive business partners within the Deposits & Consumer payments team as well as Finance, Treasury, Digital, Marketing and Technology. The ideal candidate should have demonstrated success in leading the use of advanced analytics in financial services, possess a deep understanding of retail consumer behavior, financial markets, data management, targeted marketing, customer segmentation and advanced mathematics / statistics. The role demands an intense attention to detail, proactive approach to identifying and solving problems, and ability to manage competing priorities in a highly matrixed organization.
Job Responsibilities
• Build out the capabilities of the consumer analytics function to advance the go-forward strategy of "One Ally." Moving team from line-of-business specific analysis to multi product, customer-focused, "world class" analytics function
• Responsible for leading the analytics strategy and execution of product differentiation strategies based on customer behavior and profitability
• Development and management of Deposits Price Optimization framework in concert with balance sheet management and liquidity partners
• Consulting with product, pricing, marketing and digital on appropriate strategies to increase sales and execute more efficiently
• Act as a liaison between business partners and internal team to translate business need into executable requirements
• Responsible for the relationship between Ally and critical third-party analytics vendors
• Ensure adequate data capture across the enterprise to appropriately
• Participate in IT work stream to deliver on a cohesive customer strategy for a multi-product experience
Qualifications
• 12+ years of professional experience in marketing analytics, preferably in financial services
• Minimum 7 years of experience in managing analytics professionals
• Deep understanding of analytics platforms, strategies, and tactics
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once
• Ability to work with diverse business partners with competing objectives
• Attention to detail and strong focus on quality
• Professional communication across roles and functions throughout the organization
