Performs validation of test results for sales illustrations for the introduction of new variable annuity products.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Review actuarial and business specifications to understand the requirements of the product or enhancement.
• Develop or modify test conditions
• Run test cases and compare results to in house developed Check system.
• Trace test case results to debug and analyze results.
• Report defects and status of the review using HP Quality Center or Lotus Notes tools and work with IT, in-house programmers and actuaries to get problems resolved.
• Track status and of condition review and defects and provide status report at periodic meetings.
• Run regressions.
• Work on the Production migration of illustration enhancements which occur after business hours on nights and weekends, typically beginning on Friday nights.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Mathematics or Computer sciences degree or equivalent work experience in an analytical role.
• Must have very good analytical skills.
• Must be able to work in a fast pace environment.
• Strong computer skills, advanced Access and expertise at creating Excel spreadsheets to perform calculations.
• Able to work under very tight deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Fast learner and self-starter.
• Work well in a team, but able to progress with minimal supervision and manage to project target dates.
• Ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
• Overtime during peak project times
• Knowledge of Actuarial calculations or familiarity understanding Actuarial specifications.
• Taken and passed at least one Actuarial exam is a plus.
