JOB SUMMARY
The Accounts Receivable Staff Accountant performs accounts receivable duties including, but not limited to: billing customers, posting payments, collections of debts owed, client remittances, processing nightly batches from operational systems, reviewing aged receivables, reconciling balances, reviewing invoices, filing, copying, clerical, data entry, labeling, organizing, speaking to customers and vendors, review of balance sheet and income statement accounts and process flows and journal entries.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Process invoices – billing, payment remittances, collections
• Reconciliations – reconcile billing reports and assist corporate accounting staff accounts clear reconciling items
• Analyze billing reports to catch errors and/or provide variance explanations
• Be a contact for client/vendor issue escalation
• Assist with the implementation of new clients and vendors
• Contract interpretation and implementation
• Provide reporting as required
• Address inquiries and feedback from clients, internal staff and management professionally and in a timely manner
• All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• 2+ years AR experience
• Advanced problem solving skills with attention to detail
• Proven customer service skills
• Must be able to use and have advanced computer skills and be proficient in the Microsoft software products
WORK CONDITIONS
Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Must have the ability to attend work and be productive during normal business hours and to work early, late or weekend hours as needed for successful job performance. Overtime required as necessary. Some travel may be required.
